SINGAPORE, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Enterprise Singapore, a government agency that champions enterprise development, on Thursday established an initiative called Wholesale Trade Placement Accelerator.
Enterprise Singapore said in a press release that the Wholesale Trade Placement Accelerator initiative was expected to drive job placement and map the career development needs for the wholesale trade industry.
It said the initiative's establishment would develop a pipeline of talent equipped with deep skills for digitalization and internationalization for the wholesale trade industry.
Koh Poh Koon, senior minister of state for trade and industry, said the Wholesale Trade Placement Accelerator would ease the job-matching process in the commodities trading sector, which continued to generate good jobs for Singaporeans.
According to Koh, Singapore's commodities market was broadly on an upturn compared to previous years.
