BEIJING, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday met with visiting Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, calling on the two sides to promote friendship and deepen cooperation so as to lift bilateral ties to a new level.

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan is paying a visit to China from July 8 to 12.
