Silk Road International Fashion Week is a cross-border art exhibition platform that will travel globally. The tour is also scheduled to be held in Russia and Italy.

ULAN BATOR, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- The "Silk Road International Fashion Week Overseas Exhibition Tour" kicked off here on Saturday.

Silk Road International Fashion Week is a cross-border art exhibition platform that will travel globally, said Wang Haotian, chairman of the fashion week's organizing committee.

Yu Qianqian, the project leader, said that this overseas tour is an excellent opportunity to give audiences around the world an in-depth understanding of China's intangible cultural heritage and Chinese culture in general.

The Chinese and Mongolian models jointly presented wonderfully designed costumes for the opening ceremony, and the costumes were well received by the audience.

This event is a part of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia.

Yu said the tour is also scheduled to be held in Russia and Italy. ■
